Simon and Garfunkel are set to kick off their 2009 tour in New Zealand in June. The duo will perform at Auckland's Vector Arena on June 13 before heading across the ditch to tour Australia, Chugg Entertainment executive chairman Michael Chugg announced today. The last time the pair visited New Zealand was in 1983 with their Summer Evening Tour.

I'm striding out of the S & G closet here, their music has always been some of the sweetest and most tender I've ever appreciated and I'm very much looking forward to seeing them play.
