More state service committee stacking today by the Nats. This time TVNZ.

Minister of Broadcasting:
Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss today announced the appointment of Richard Long to the Board of Television New Zealand.
Mr Long has a career in journalism spanning more than thirty years.
He has been elected to various newspaper industry roles, including chair of the NZ Press Association editors’ liaison committee.
“Mr Long’s media career will enable him to contribute his lengthy practical experience to the work of the TVNZ Board,” says Mr Foss.
Mr Long was appointed as an Officer of The New Zealand Order of Merit in 2011, for services to journalism.
Background
Mr Long spent twenty years as a journalist before being appointed editor of the Dominion Post in 1992. He held this position for a decade before spending two years as Chief of Staff in the National Leader’s Office . Mr Long then worked for Busby Ramshaw Grice before returning to journalism as a columnist.

And as well as formerly working in the Beehive for the Tories, Mr Long's establishment credentials include being a conservative, reactionary, right winger - which has far more to do with the appointment than any other consideration. His columns are at Stuff.
