Well, well, well, what do we have here? After telling us all that the first he knew of the GSCB role in spying on Kim Dotcom was September 17, it now turns out Key was actually told at a GCSB briefing in February...
John Key briefed on Dotcom spying in February
A review of Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) files has revealed Prime Minster John Key was told about the spy agency's role in the Kim Dotcom case in February.
Until now, Key has insisted he wasn't told until September 17 - when he was briefed about illegal snooping by the agency. He can't remember the reference in February but accepts it took place.
Three more cases of possible illegal spying have also been identified.
...Kim Dotcom has turned into the anti-Santa for Key, he's the gift that just keeps taking.
Key has been caught out lying and there are still 3 more cases of illegal spying by the GCSB that need explaining. Key has booked time in the first Parliament session back to explain how he lied to Parliament.
Those on the right who were claiming that this was an insignificant issue whipped up for political reasons will be choking. The Prime Minister of NZ has been caught out lying, this is no longer an insignificant issue, this is how you lose the voters trust and this is how you lose elections.
Not so smile and wave now are you John?
