Afghanistan stopped being justifiable right after the West turned a blind eye to Hamid Karzai's corrupt rigging of his first election.
There are no military solutions in Afghanistan.

What is really disturbing is to hear the US "Defence" Secretary (what a misnomer that is) vowing retribution on our behalf. First the Warner Bros tax break fiasco, then the FBI Dotcom raid, now this. We are being drawn into the US net and the next thing you know there will be a warship in our harbour, and although its a terrible thought, what are the prospects of a suicide bombing mission in NZ as payback for our chumminess with Uncle Sam in Afghanistan? With "friends" like the US, who needs enemies?
