To release the draft IPCA report this week or not?

The delay in releasing the IPCA report into the actions of Police into the Urewera Terror case so that the Police can desperately water it down is frustrating and angering.

The draft report is damning and the attempt to dilute the criticism should be seen for what it is, a venal attempt to maintain a veneer of professionalism where the IPCA sees none.

The frustration is to see the draft report released on line now or to wait and see the final report so that the manner in which the Police have managed to white wash it can be highlighted.

Either way the Police force and Peter Marshalls smug claims he owed no one an apology is about to under go public ridicule once the report is released.

The Clock is ticking.
