Phil Goff vs Secret Intelligence Service - why is NZs spy master attacking the leader of the opposition?
Phil Goff denies ever being told Cameron Slater was his father.I've seen the papers, they appear on Citizen A tonight 8pm on Freeview 21 & Sky 89, and to think that the SIS would hand papers like that over to Slater of all people is unbelievable.
The SIS have censored the papers in such a manner it clearly shows Goff asking questions - either this is a gross invasion into the political sphere by NZs spy master or Phil Goff is lying. It is an incredible thing to watch, information as sensitive as this being handed out to the gutter (sorry Cam, but come on, you are that pet crocodile thrown into the sewer of the gutter), WTF are the SIS thinking?
What is the purpose of this?
Goff swears he wasn't informed and has gone to the extraordinary extremes of demanding independent witnesses in any meetings with Tucker, and the question has to be asked why is our spy master getting involved in a major political attack on the leader of the opposition using information leaked to a leading muck raking right wing blogger like Slater?
Something stinks to high heaven in all of this.

The attack on Goff has certainly shifted attention from the Israelis.
It is indeed extraordinary for Goff to diss on the old boys “MI6 style” nudge nudge, cone of silence briefing protocol.
And extraordinary for the allegedly uber professional Director Tucker to act at warp speed supplying the OIA page to the highly dubious Slater (who obviously knew exactly what to ask for).
The Northern Club also seems to have no qualms about supplying documents to Ambergris. How else did he get a copy of a letter sent to them with all the metadata intact?
