ACT are a racist Party

After todays latest racist outburst by ACT's creative director, ACT are now so fringe, their bordering on supremacist. This follows the race baiting adverts ACT put into the newspapers on Saturday. What happened to getting back to the founding principles of ACT as promised when Brash took over?

Wasn't this redneck populism by Brash the reason given for Rodney's overthrow? After reading Ansell's comments, the conclusion must be ACT really is a racist party. Only a racist believes the bullshit he is spouting, does NZ really want this racism in Parliament?

The media always point out that Brash created this massive jump in the Polls, but always fail to mention that the Hollow Men was then published. Enough NZers have read that book, seen the emails behind the scenes and understand how disgusting his manipulation of racism for political gain last time was. That combined mean that means no one other than outright racists will vote for this man ever again.

They never point that out.

Act ad man blasts 'apartheid'
The marketing guru behind the Iwi/Kiwi billboards and the new Act Party adverts has attacked "white cowards" for not standing up against the "Maorification" of the country.

Act Party creative director John Ansell said Maori were taking advantage of New Zealand's fear of appearing racist and he wanted the Act Party to speak out.

He said: "These guys (Maori) have gone from the stone age to the space age in 150 years and haven't said thanks. That's the nature of the thing. In Maori world, if one tribe conquers another you eat the guys eyeballs. The Brits were pretty civilised by that standard."

Let's deal with this straight up shall we? There is a meme from redneck NZ that says, 'Maoris gained lots from us, they just lived in mudhuts and they should be grateful we broughts with us somes fire'.

Two things about this mindset, the first is that it utterly misses the point that Maori land was stolen and that the grievance they have is righteous and that justice demands legitimate reparation, not simply the transference of some technology and Resource Conscent processes.

The second is that the mindset from rednecks that the experience of NZ colnialism was somehow a mythical journey of love which Maori's universally benefitted from and how dare they get shitty at us. We are all NZers, USA! USA! USA!

This ignores the truth and reality.

On One Tree Hill, Sir John Campell Logan's monument to the Maori People was meant as a memorial to the passing of the entire race, such were the dire statistics from the impact of colonialism. Maori made up 50% of the nation of NZ in the 1860's, but fell to only 10% by 1891 with them holding less than 17% of their land by the turn of the century.

If I was part of an indigenous culture whose experience resulted in near collapse of the entire race, then I'd be pretty justified in being genuinely pissed off about the manner in which that experience had been sold as 'universally positive so shut up' as well.

For the rednecks of ACT, it's all one amazing experience that the damn natives should be happy with and how dare they complain. This mentality is willfully and hatefully ignorant.

Shame on anyone choosing to vote for this kind of NZ.

Just read Clint Heine's anti British views and you can see why my political opinions have changed, the man is bigotted beyond belief and quite possibly dangerous, a vile individual, people like him are the root cause of divisions in society.
