Deaks - 'working like a nigger'
Sports broadcasting boofhead, Murray Deaker, the deakmiester, the deak-o-rama has had to go away for a while after he referred, live on air, to someone 'working like a nigger'. He used the reference in the casual way a casual racist does, he was talking about a sheep farmer and referred to him as 'working like a nigger'.
Whanau, It doesn't take a bachelor in Arts degree to obtain the level of education that finds the use of that word grossly offensive, children watching Sesame Street get to grasp this. If Deaker was on 'Are you smarter than a 10 year old', he would lose. Badly.
But what is much worse than Uncle Muzza's senior moment is the response from
Sky TV in defending Murray. They said "I'm not defending him, but that's a phrase that's widely used".
What? Hold the phone blocker. It's mate against mate, state against state, cock-head against shit-head. Sky TV's response is that it's a phrase that's widely used?
Brothers and sisters, I've been working for almost two decades now and I've never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, heard the phrase, 'work like a nigger' casually thrown around the workplace. What does this say about the Sky TV workplace? Is 'work like a nigger' just thrown around there is it? Hey, while you're getting a coffee, why don't you work like a nigger and get me one too'?
If that's their tolerance threshold at Sky TV it helps explain why you get greeted with, 'Bitch better have my money' when you call accounts.

These creepy ‘broadcasters’ always seem to get worm their way back even if chastised because the owners and money men usually agree with their backwoods views, remember “sweating like a rapist”-Mark Ellis contribution? Back buster Vietch-John Keys new mate.
I get nuisance calls from HRV that Ellis advertises for and give them heaps for hiring such an arsehole, but I must be in the minority because he is still there!
Consumer pressure can work, but there are so many dark sadistic kiwis that agree with these racists and women haters.

Basically it comes down to this. Independently produced program of sky, loyal advertisers = excellent revenue for sky. Deaker always makes a fool of himself. Send him to Vanuatu for a holiday, carry on making money.
Another example of how un-pc NZ's culture actually is - despite our national belief to the contrary. I had déjà vu reading about this because I remember a scandal with another public figure and the same phrase - must have been in Ireland during our OE.
