No more Masters under National

Paul the psychic octopus has been given more media attention than Natioanl's Tertiary funding model which has set up a staggering student loan structure that will see graduates not able to fund their own Masters degrees if they do a BA (hons) first...

No Joy from Joyce
Joyce says if students use their additional postgraduate 1 EFTS for honours study, then “there is no additional entitlement for additional postgraduate borrowing other than doctoral study”.

Steven Joyce, the hollow brain, has no love for public education and slashing student loans so that students can't complete their masters, but can get funding for their doctorate is intentionally set to stop BA(hons) students from doing a Masters, it's not the students educational ability that will limit their advance, it is their wallet.

Nasty.

BA(hons) students can go straight to a doctorate if they are good enough anyway.

The weaker students get a masters and therefore should self-fund their study to prove they can take a PhD on.

I've read your post Big, are you saying that a student can do a BA(hons) AND an MA and both will be covered by student loan?

Yep. And for most, you can do a PhD and that`ll be covered by student loan too, as you can get a further 1 EFTS at least.
read the cabinet paper I linked. In fact, link it to your post with an amendment in line with my followup post

Given this threat, institutions will have a range of really bad options like excluding risky students (mature entry, Maaori, Pasifika) or dropping standards and passing students who shouldn't pass LIKE FOREIGNER'S FOR EXAMPLE BUT I'VE CHUGGED ENOUGH COCK FROM THE GOVT.ALONGSIDE TIM AND BOMBER TO KNOW THAT THE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE PICKIN UP A SLAB OF 4BY2 ON THE VIADUCT OVERBRIDGE DON'T JUSTIFY US GETTIN INTO DEBT FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES...

Umm ... Bomber. Why would one need to do a Masters if one had a BA (Hons)?

Risky students are risky because they are stupid and inferior unless you are arguing the Maoris and PI are inherently intellectually inferior?
