Off duty drunk cops beat up a detectives son - get better work stories

Friends tried to defuse situation with police - witness
Several friends allegedly attacked by three off-duty police officers were trying to "peace-out" the situation, a court has been told. Prosecution witness Michael Spencer told Auckland District Court yesterday that Patrick Garty, 32, Wiremu Bowers-Rakatau, 21, and another man assaulted two of his friends after an altercation outside a High St bar. The friends had been playing with a supermarket trolley left on the side of the road which the three men, later identified as off-duty police officers, confronted them about.

God this is the story that just keeps giving isn't it? Normally, drunk off duty Police can get away with smearing their cock against a car window and terrorizing mothers with children..

Charge against officer dropped
A police officer who was facing an allegation of disorderly behaviour has had the charge against him dropped. The officer and a colleague were charged after an alleged incident between them, a woman and her son early on New Year's Day

...I love how those two drunk off duty detectives were asked nicely to leave first by uniformed officers and then had the Sergent from Papakura come down and try to make them leave - how many of us would have been asked politely twice to stop harassing a mother and her child while we were drunk on New Years Day? Not one of us would have been politely asked to leave, we would have been pepper sprayed and tasered faster than you can dial 111 and arrested on the spot.

However in this current case, these 3 dumb drunk off duty cops beat the shit out of the wrong kid - the kid is the son of a Detective! Oh you goin down boys, drunk off duty cops can get away with pretty much anything in NZ, but beat the shit out of the son of a Detective? Bhahahahahahaha, you goin down. HARD. I just WISH I had been able to see the looks on these drunk off duty cops when they found out the kid they had beaten up was actually the son of a detective, I so wish we had that image, we could use it for a whole new 'Get better work stories' adverts.

The moral of this story seems to be that we the public need protection from drunk off duty cops, we MUST keep Police in their on site booze bars so that they don't drink with the public putting us in danger from all that unresolved rage and anger they walk around with.

Please, let's keep drunk off duty police away from the Public, they are a danger.

Interesting how you take the side of a detectives kid.

I used to go to school with the son of a "D".
Biggest fucking bully in the school. Couldn't touch him, because he would constantly say;
"my old man is a D, you touch me, he will fuck you over."

Sounds like this is the same as this spoilt little prick.

And it appears the only people who could give a D's son the bash, was other cops.

The way he was acting, sounds like he deserved a good hiding. (read the article, they were acting like total fuckwits)

Typical of bomber to take the side of high ranking cops over beat cops.

Oh, and the kid at my school?
Two sons of Black Power fucked him over big time, and his daddy did nothing, hahaha.

It arouses me Anon that you are attempting to make it a class issue between the high ranking cops and the beat cops, which is interesting isn't it folks because it seems Anon's comprehension skills aren't too sharp. You did note the story about the two off duty detectives on New Years day that I critiqued as well didn't you off duty anon?

I think it's good to see though the joy off duty anon attaches to beating up detectives sons though.

Guess your comprehension skills are even worse bomber, when you are the one who pointed out the class issue in the first place when you found humour in the fact that the beat cops where going down because they picked on a D's kid.

Are D's kids untouchable in your world bomber?

Isn't the point Bombers making that they would have
very likely got away with their assult had it not been for
their choice of victim. Shouldn't everybody be untouchable
when it comes to off duty cops beating people up
or exposing themselves to children.

Now if Anon of the above actually read between the lines, he/she would, in fact see what Bomber is trying to point out. And a damn good point too!

It seems interesting.
We know that there are some good police officers out there who join the force because they truly want to make the community a safer place for us to live in.
Again, like any company or group or organisation, there are the bad apples - those who join the force cause they can! They wear their uniform and go on a intrapersonal power trip and act like fuckwits and ruin it for the majority. And it's those that we need to get rid of..
And funny enough, it seems to be mainly younger men.

Having seen the video of the incident, I actually wonder why they're bothering with a trial. It's the funniest piece of security television I've ever seen.

The D's son in question is absolutely not like the picture painted by anon above - the difference between being an arrogant little shit and being in the wrong place at the wrong time obviously escapes you.

Hah.
Considering it is evidence before the courts, anon is either the Judge, a lawyer, on the jury, or just making shit up to make a point.

I am guessing it's the latter.

Well AAMC, shouldn't everybody be considered innocent until proven guilty?

The whiff of bigotry on this site is overpowering.

And in this instance we will be given that process, but what about the instances that never end up in court?

"The whiff of bigotry on this site is overpowering."

I think you might be hallucinating?

Expecting exceptional conduct from the police force - on and off duty - in order for it to earn and deserve respect is not bigotry, I salute all decent work done by I'm sure the majority of the police force, that doesn't condone flashing your cock at young children.
