Sterile thinking

If Act are Hamas does that make Alan Gibbs Iran?

Garrett is just the gift that keeps on giving isn't he? Act wanted the Sensible Sentencing Trust money, clout and votes at the last election - without having the inconvenience of actually having him elected - which was why he was put at No.5 on their list.

Garrett is the last unwanted lolly - the really hard toffee-type one - in Act's bag which everyone declines. As time goes on it's becoming sticky and melting and even more unappealing. It's difficult to believe he will make it back on Act's list no matter what placing he gets.

Conservative values:It's a look.

Flawed analogy. Act isn't calling for the killing of gays like Hamas is. It realises that they're usually talented hard working high networth individuals rather than an abomination in the eyes of allah.

Even as an ACT voter I have to admit that little photo montage there is pretty fucking funny.

I'm sorry but where did the Hamas link come in and does Mr Bradbury realise Tim is mentioning his favourite Islamist group in the same breath as the ACT party?

He will be mighty peeved when he finds out.

I say sterilise them and don't give them the five grand.

Bleeding hearts say, "Abuse of human rights," yet, no thought for the victims.

Gosman et al: the Hamas reference is in the image - and the link - from Scoop. I thought the Hamas thing was an analogy of Act being a party of extremists, but it turns out that the headline:
"On David Garrett’s sterilisation plan (and the divisions within Hamas)"
is about two different issues - but I went with my first assumption.

Tim: That initial conflation is brilliant.
