Getting better work stories?

Cop on mat over sex allegation
A TOP detective has been asked to "please explain" over claims he suggested a female police informant have sex with an underworld figure in the hope she could collect information for a drugs investigation. In a recording obtained by the Sunday Star-Times, the informant prompted Auckland crime squad Detective Sergeant Lloyd Schmid to repeat what she alleged was an earlier request for her to have sex to get information. It was not police policy to ask informants to have sex with suspects. Schmid – widely celebrated for his work in tackling the region's methamphetamine epidemic – has been asked by police brass to explain the 20-minute recording. Police will consider his explanation and the case may be referred to the Independent Police Conduct Authority for further investigation.
So when the Police brag about 'getting better work stories' in adverts designed to recruit bored retail staff, they were talking about having sex with drug dealers and reporting back to a God complex Detective who has virtually no checks and balances above him to conduct one on one interviews without recordings with and I note - a 'female police informant'?
What is this informant being paid and why did she feel the need to secretly record the conversation? A conversation Police Cheerleader Greg O'Conner claims is a pile of crap? How can it be a pile of crap, Schmid either told her to seduce the drug dealer or he didn't, the recording shows he did - how is that a pile of crap? Shouldn't we be concerned that dirty deals being done dirt cheap are occurring without any oversight? What did the Police hold over her in the first place? And is this a case of 'you nark for us in return for cash and drugs or we bust you on what we have on you' leaving female informants with little option than sleep with drug dealers to get information?
Have the NZ Police ever asked any other female informants to sleep with drug dealers for information? Not such a surprise they are having female recruitment problems is it?
Oh and btw, seeing as Whaleoil has managed a 'get out of jail free' card on being prosecuted for contempt of court by breaching suppression orders because of the services he has rendered to the National Party online (nice to see Cam's Former National Party Chief Dad last week in the Sunday Papers demanding his boy gets let off), I wonder what would happen to me minus that political protection if I named these two Police Officers?
Detective charged over late-night row
A police officer will appear in court on a disorder charge after allegedly verbally abusing a woman and her young son while on a night out drinking with a colleague. The Herald understands the two officers were detained in the early hours of Saturday in Papakura.
I wonder if I would be as lovingly protected by the Solicitor-General?

If you truly believe naming them will bring justice, then do it.
Being arrested for something you truly believe in is not a bad thing.
So, what are their names?
Btw, wasteoil's old man can say what he likes, it won't get his son off.
Send the names across Bomber, Cam will publish them.
And i can assure you that Cam is getting no help whatsoever from anybody in power over this. Seeing as Figjam is the main target for his anger I cannot see too much assistance coming his way.
The fact that the Solicitor-General gave Cam a get out of jail free pass by not charging him with contempt of Court is a political decision, not a legal decision and it seems to be for political services rendered to National.
Yawn. The media has the recording so you can gaurantee they will have revealed the worst bits for the detective.
So what have they revealed?
Absolutely nothing to support the lurid headline claim about sex.
He didn't even agree with her much weaker claim that she "maybe seduce" him. Merely saying that he asked her to "progress things".
Not looking so great for her credability.
But wait there's more...
She reckons she was offered $60000 for her services. Or about 1/7th of the national annual budget for informants.
As the Tui ad goes. Yeah right...
JP is completely right-this will be a case of her interpretation of their discussion. If there was anything of substance, the press would have printed it by now. This lady was more likely to get $600; certainly not $60,000!! Hello! How gullible and dense are you Bomber????
So 'progressing things' to have sex with a drug dealer is fine is it guys? Why wasn't this meeting official and on the record? How much oversight is given these dirty deals done dirt cheap? Or are we to trust Mr Plod so much so you both are happy with zero oversight are you?
