Tsunami Alert

Generated by the Chile Earthquake - due to hit Auckland 10.52am

If I have to listen to another idiot reporter breathlessly explain that Tsunami moves at 500 miles an hour (the speed of an airliner they inform me) and that it builds when it comes to shallow water without actually telling me when and where it's bloody due I will throw my remote at the bloody TV! How can we have 5 dedicated TV news channels and not a word regarding something about to effect us?

I'm glad we have Radio NZ!

Radio NZ has been quite steller! We don't have a TV so didn't realise they were doing a crappy job.

If you were interested in reality Bomber you would not be listening to RNZ, TVNZ or the others.
Instead you might be checking out trustworthy sources like

I was watching TV3 on Sunday morning and every ten minutes or so there was a bulletin running across the screen with Tsunami alerts and at 1200 midday a special news bulletin.

Ssssh anon, no.

We needed a continuous 24hour running commentary so we could now what to do on the hour, every hour.

If not, the tragedy that unfolded would have been entirely the fault of commercial tv and radio.

In the end, only NatRad saved us.

Fuck concert radio though, they just kept playing dead man stuff.
