The Climate Deniers are wrong
Examining the climate emails - word by word
LONDON - Emails stolen from climate scientists show they stonewalled sceptics and discussed hiding data - but the messages don't support claims that the science of global warming was faked, according to an exhaustive review by Associated Press. The 1073 emails examined by AP show that scientists harboured private doubts, however slight and fleeting, even as they told the world they were certain about climate change. But the exchanges don't undercut the vast body of evidence showing the world is warming because of man-made greenhouse gas emissions.
What will NZ’s online right wing mafia MacDoctor, Not PC, No Minister and Whaleoil claim now? We can’t allow the climate deniers to have any say in the debate, we must lavish contempt upon them and denigrate their desire to hide the simple fact that man made pollution causes global warming.
If the ‘climategate’ emails were the knock out blow that MacDoctor, Whaleoil, Not PC and No Minister were pretending that they were, why is John Key, a man who has passed the Emission Trading Scam that won’t do a thing to stop climate change still going to Copenhagen?
Seriously guys, if you are going to mouth Big Oil attack lines against the science in the exact same manner the Tobacco Industry used to pretend there was no link between cancer and smoking, you should at least send an invoice to Frank Luntz for his 2002 Memo to the Republican’s on how to win the Global Warming debate…
Winning the Global Warming Debate – An Overview
1: The scientific debate remains open: Voters believe that there is no consensus about global warming within the scientific community. Should the public come to believe that the scientific issues are settled, their views about global warming will change accordingly. Therefore, you need to continue to make the lack of scientific certainty a primary issue in the debate, and defer to scientists and other experts in the field.
My guess is that MacDoctor, Not PC, No Minister and Whaleoil will just go very quiet over the whole ‘climategate’ issue and global warming in general, they strike me as the sort of people who were pro the invasion of Iraq and went very quiet as no weapons of mass destruction were found.
Climate deniers deserve our contempt, and they will get it.

Oh come on AB, you know you've been banned from this site for years. Nice to see you are out of prison though after such a long absence. Making threats about 'consequences' for continuing to point out that man made pollution is causing climate change is just silly, lay off the cool aid.
Of course I know you won't put up my comments Boober. Thats because you are a scared little boy who doesn't like to have his beliefs questioned.
When the mob comes for you flatearthers (and it's coming boober, it's coming sooner than you think) I will be at the front when it comes to you. I will throw the rope over the lamp post in your case boober because people like you are just a waste on this earth and need to go.
We're coming for you Boober, soon
Dont see the big deal with global warming.
There's pros as well as cons.
Whats so wrong with being able to grow mangoes & bananas in Bluff or getting a sun tan in Greenland..
So some low lying islands are gonna get swamped..
Move for fucks sake.
YAWN - I don't put your posts up AB because you are insane. I let that one go through so that people can see they are not missing anything other than your latest death fantasy.
As for "I don't see the big deal" perhaps the 30% species collapse from a 2 degree increase might be considered a big deal.
Why would we get a 30% species collapse if temperatures were warmer in the medieval warm period than they are now....
all a bit silly really, taxing people for nature.
Why would we get a 30% species collapse if temperatures were warmer in the medieval warm period than they are now....
Because that's what the science tells us brave anonymous poster
2 degree temperature increase will cause havoc for Europe’s birds
2 degrees rise will create havoc
The RSPB's Dr Richard Gregory was the paper's lead author. Commenting on the findings he said: "We hear a lot about climate change, but our paper shows that its effects are being felt right now. The results show the number of species being badly affected outnumbers the species that might benefit by three to one. Although we have only had a very small actual rise in global average temperature, it is staggering to realise how much change we are noticing in wildlife populations. If we don't take our foot off the gas now, our indicator shows there will be many much worse effects to come. We must keep global temperature rise below the two degree ceiling; anything above this will create global havoc."
etc

Two Degrees is Too Much! Impacts of 2oC Global Warming
and of course...
as global average temperature increase exceeds about 3.5°C [relative to 1980 to 1999], model projections suggest significant extinctions (40-70% of species assessed) around the globe.
30% species loss starts to sound like the best we can hope for.
The fact that we will create a run away climate event if we continue to be in denial is something that drives some to death wish fantasies, like your friend AB above anon.
all a bit silly really, taxing people for nature.
As silly as mouthing big oil attacks on the science when the science tells us man made pollution is causing the planet to warm?
It's no longer certain that the world is even warming since the temperature readings have been manipulated.
Also it's pretty obvious that the thermometer readings in large cities should not be counted in at all.
Yeah it would be nice if someone could prove the temperature readings have been manipulated. Unfortunately there's not even any evidence that thermometer readings have been manipulated - the climategate "trick" was just an unconventional form of statistical analysis, not a distortion of the raw data.
The thermometer readings in large cities are already analysed separately from readings in other types of location.
