PRESS RELEASE/AUSA/NZUSA/THE PRESIDENT...THOSE WHO WAGE WAR AGAINST HER MAJESTY, OR REMAIN IN ARMS, THREATENING THE LIVES OF HER PEACEABLE SUBJECTS, MUST TAKE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIER ACTS, AND THEY MUST UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WILL FORFEIT THE RIGHT TO THE POSSESSION OF THEIR LANDS GUARANTEED TO THEM BY THE TREATY OF WAITANGI, WHICH LANDS WILL BE OCCUPIED BY A POPULATION CAPABLE OF PROTECTING FOR THE FUTURE THE QUIET AND UNOFFENDING FROM THE VIOLENCE WITH WHICH THEY ARE NOW SO CONSTANTLY THREATENED.

AUCKLAND, 11TH JULY, 1863,

First you change an unpalatable election result for Halmas in Gaza. Then you do the exact same thing in ‘the Afghan’ when things aren’t going your way in the war for democracy is their any cause for hope?
No, not really!
(Well maybe just what Gandalf would say was merely ‘a fools chance’ if any.)
fly you fools…
John Howard on Hard talk.
Was the final solution with the Tampa racist?
He replied no it wasn’t.
Let’s look at the facts. The Afghan refugees were making a protest over the war in their countries similar thing is now happening in France. They want to get to the U.K. Why? Because they are making a point about who caused these conflicts in the first place. And that is why they cannot really be entrusted with asylum. They have a grudge to bear, or else why would they make their pitiful way to the home of their oppressors. Not to remonstrate to stop the war and the chaos and the bloodshed and outright anarchy and carnage surely. Stephen Sacker claimed he used ‘clumsy language’ once when speaking of the so-called undesirability of Asian immigration’s as once it was mentioned that the Fijian Indian population were no longer ‘a threat’ to indigenous Fijians numbers wise; and politically speaking since they had been forced into exile in New Zealand and had lost their superiority as a percentage of the voting bloc population. That was stupid. I don’t believe that anymore than I would be prepared to admit that any majority anywhere in a democracy is a threat to the minority. There is no tyranny of the majority in a democracy, and De Tocqueville in Democracy in America was aiming to constrain the power to the people through the separation of powers between the three branches of govt. in the States. The president was not supposed to ride roughshod over anybody else, by being re-elected. That is why the constitution limits them to two terms only. That still amounts to nearly ten years as leader of the free world. The former P.M of Australia also said that he expected people to “fit in” to the country’s multi-racial as opposed to multi-cultural-culture preferring integration to assimilation. Asia is where the growth is, supposedly but not of the moral or beneficial type. Do we turn our back on our former friends and take the path to riches, or do we defer to the likelihood that with a new Fisher and Peke stainless steel double-dish-draw with powder and liquid dispensers, we still prefer to do the dishes in the sink. Or what about the Samsung washer/dryer all in one combo. Or the stainless steel range hood that has lights, or the heat lamps in the bathroom with fans as well?
Obama must be truly cunning and devious if he believes his worldwide plot for the multi-cultural mafia will succeed. White ambassadors for peace do all the dirty work while the head chicken stays well away from all the action hot-spots. Clinton and Kerry claim they wanted help stop the war by a delay of 40,000 sequestered reinforcements, for the time being; so the right result could be gleaned from the “elections”.

Meanwhile a more sinister commander in chief manipulates his white pawns on the chess board into places where he can claim that he will only send ‘more troops’ when he has his man in charge in the Ghan. Couldn’t get more troops past Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah in other words, an old ally of Bush, Blair and Howard and Musharraf. The multi-racialist’s fraudulently claim in the paper that things were worse under them and their general in Pakistan?

Clintons claims include the leaders of the insurgency are hiding somewhere in Pakistan, but they don’t know where. But, somehow that equates that they have the right to shoot to kill them, and all the while even seizing passports from so-called 9/11 suspects 8 years later is beyond plausibility.

Why Asean is a gutless farce!
We must not let our so-called Asian friends and “neighbours” who cross over the road when you are walking on the same side as them and don’t say hello or even reply or acknowledge you when you do, to convince us to do business “their way”. They are complicit in the illegal home detention for 20 years of an opposition leader, over there and mine for half that here as well. Their “inaudible whimpers” of protest must cease. We have to find the courage of our convictions and put these pricks in the dog-box. No more duplicity with our trading partners who all agree to disagree it would seem. Totally and truly pathetic. Global-laissez-faire-isation Mike Moore keeps WTF not WTO reminding us is a force of nature like global warming or cooling depending on yer point of view or hemisphere perhaps or supposedly, we can do nothing to stop its crushing inevitability. Meaning we should do nothing to criticise brutal and repressive developing regimes either no doubt like Burma and Zimbabwe. It doesn’t seem to pose any threat to the paramount nation states sovereignty. The neighbours do nothing it would seem. Just like the African countries that mutter disapproval in private but do nothing in public to remove Mugabes brutal authoritarian military regime. Nothing has worked so far to weaken their grip, although the brave beaten opposition leaders face might have been more deserving of the peace prize and put the money to better use than Michelle Obama’s oprah type makeovers.

The ‘dark-days’ of international travel at Heathrow where I bought his latest book as a fan to pass the time and to settle my nerves as good prose can have both a soporific and calming effect on you. The book is all I’ve come to expect of him. Carefully argued propositions that exploit and build on previous themes of earlier work. Nicely nuanced and a reasonable account that systematically examines the evidence and advances their own view. A flowing “style” redolent with ‘erudite gems’ and furnished with quotations from various traditions of literature’s sensible voice that questions the now popular and fashionable analyses of civilisation clashes of various fundamentalisms both Islamic and otherwise.

A disconcerting style since he writes beautifully like an Oxford Don; perhaps more philosopher than economist, and thoroughly imbued with an ‘Englishness’. Yet his content is that of a Bengali intellectual which is varied and widely informed. It is the mark of a well-read man, but also one that carries its own blindness as a consequence of selective reading choices. It is a nice achievement that singles him out as a leading social theorist, as well as a developing/development economist’s voice for reason and non-violence and global progress. The ‘consummate cosmopolitan’ expertly successful in the West and in the hallowed halls of Oxford where he is even more English than the English and someone painfully aware and self-tutored in his own past and cultural roots as an English intellectual in the liberal tradition and which has a truly global intellectual propensity.

The object of neoliberalism as a hegemonic discourse and as a set of ‘common-sense’ economic practices?
NEOLIBERALISM REPRESENTS A RESTORATION OF RULING CLASS POWER BUT NOT NECESSARILY TO THE SAME GROUPS OF THE PAST;
This meta-description and meta-narrative ‘begins and ends’ with the notion of freedom that is only substantial within a market without state ‘interference’ or regulation or oversight. This presupposes the selfish individualism exhibited against the collective. The rational-utility-maximiser of homo-economic us by Hayek and the Mount-Pelerine Society, founded in 1947 and which advertises itself in terms of a series of statements that tended to re-moralise and re-politicise economics. Framing this debate ‘as on freedom’ is like that which was witnessed by the whole world on the killing of Salvador Allene in Chile in 1973 at the hands of the C.I.A, and continuing with freedom for Iraq’s oil for EXXON not the Indians or Chinese now worth US$62 BILLION OR $nz86 billion. Above all they had money unlike the afghans who have no money apart from foreign aid and handouts, in other words no financial or ulterior motive or interest for them to help.

CAPITALISM/THE MOVIE?
THE RHETORIC OF RESISTANCE AS A RALLYING CRY AGAINST THE MASSIVE INEQUALITIES OF THE GLOBAL MARKET.
A STRONG COMMITMENT TO QUESTIONS OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND AN URGE TO DE=MYSTIFY THE LOGIC AND RHETORIC THAT HAS SEEMINGLY PASSED INTO “COMMON-SENSE” AND WHICH EMPTIES ALL KNOWN STRUGGLE OF ITS RATIONALE.THE LINK BETWEEN GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE AND GOVT. OF THE SELF, OR NEOLIBERALISM WITH CHINESE AND INDIAN CHARACTERISTICS.EMBEDDED IN A DECENTRED LIBERALISM AS THEY SEE THE WELFARE STATE AS AN HISTORICAL ABERRATION (or an anachronism or a-historical)) WITH LIBERALISM AS A CRITIQUE OF ANY EQUIVALENT NOTION OR THE RIGHTS OF THE INDIVIDUAL AGAINST THE POWERS OF THE STATE APPARATUS.STATE POWER AGAINST INDIVIDUALISM OR THEORETICAL ETHNOCENTRISM.CENTRAL TO LIBERALISM IS THE RULE OF LAW OVER INDIVIDUALS AND THE CONSTITUTION OF FREEDOM AND GOVT. OF THE SELF.

INDIVIDUALS HAVE BEEN MADE POWERFUL NOT POWERLESS THROUGH OVER-RIDING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR EXAMPLE LIKE BOOK AUTHORS AGAINST GOOGLE BOOKS WHICH YOU CANNOT PRINT, AND CAN COPY WITH PEN AND PAPER AND NOT GIVE A DAMN IF YOU GET CAUGHT AND BY WAY OF AN INSTITUTIONALISED ENTERPRISE CULTURE AND NOTIONS OF PERFORMATIVITY OR THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SELF.IT IS SAID THAT WE MUST NOW HAVE AN APPRECIATION OF THE GLOBAL SPREAD OF NEOLIBERAL INDIVIDUALISM AND ITS INSTITUTIONALISATION AMONG UNIVERSITIES FOR EXAMPLE.A COHERENT DOMINANT CLASS PROJECT ACROSS NATIONAL BOUNDARIES ONTO THE GLOBAL STAGE.A CLEAR GEOGRAPHICAL EMPHASIS WOULD PLACE CHINA AND INDIA IN THIS RECENT OR AS LONG AS THE INTERNET'S BEEN GOING 10-15 YEARS OCCURRENCE AS AN ACCELERATED ROUND OF TIME/SPACE COMPRESSION INTO A BOOK WRITTEN BY A DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR WHO IS DEDICATED TO HIS WORK AND EQUALLY COMMITTED IN AN APPROACH DEVELOPED OVER HIS LIFETIME OR A BRIEF HISTORY OF NEOLIBERALISM A FORCEFUL AND CONVINCING ACCOUNT OF THE PRIVATE REALM OF THE WORLD’S HUMAN RESOURCES AND ITS RAPACIOUS ATTACK WHICH IS CONTINUING ON THE PUBLIC AT LARGE AND A DIMMED RATHER THAN A ENHANCED POSSIBILITY OF GLOBAL DEMOCRACY.
