From MMP to ACC to MTV this Government is WTF!

Voters likely to get four choices
Voters are likely to be given at least three alternatives to MMP when they get a fresh say on the electoral system - at a cost of $23 million.
Yay, we’re going to blow $23million on a referendumb that only angry voters still yearning for the days when Parliament was 90% white, old, rich and male want. This referendumb wasn’t ever promised by the Commission (this is an urban myth those angry voters created to justify a referendumb) but let’s do it anyway so we can once and for all show everyone that MMP does have support because NZers believe in representative democracy rather than an electoral system that only benefits the elite.
BUT – the staggering inability for National to have the options on the table when they announce the referendumb is incredibly incompetent and gives another example of the total lack of management within this cabinet.
I know the Polls suggest that every NZer loves this Government, but that love at some point has to fall away when the reality of this Government’s incompetence becomes more apparent with each passing day.
They don’t have the referendumb sorted, they don’t have ACC sorted between the parties and the utter, utter fiasco of the Rugby World Cup has been staggering. 7 MINISTERS WERE WORKING ON THIS! 7! And none of them knew what the hell they were doing, sweet Jesus they couldn’t organize a bloody piss up in a brewery!
Remember National’s appalling by-election campaign in Mt Albert? Remember how badly National ran that? Remember how they just walked away and left Melissa to twitch in the wind? This is a Government that is barely able to tie their own shoelaces let alone run the country. Aspiration and optimism only goes so far, there are real problems within this cabinet.
In the ideological vacuum called John Key’s leadership there is a massive power struggle. Key wants to be the next Holyoake and plays things much more moderately, however there are those in his cabinet who are hard right and have no interest in playing moderate. While Key fights to regain political direction of his cabinet National need to spin things, look at this genius spin from Coleman last night….
Coleman [Minister of Broadcasting]: I'll expand on Carter's speech. The people are happy, they'll get to watch the games. Received only 2 emails on this - both positive. Up in the polls. Mallard said he wouldn't politicise the world cup - talking it down. They want it to be a failure - that is unpatriotic talk. All they want to do is pick holes. Not acting in a "New Zealand" manner.
…NOT ACTING IN A NEW ZEALAND MANNER??????? Isn’t that genius? National has 7 Ministers working on this and they all cock it up because there are different factions fighting in an attempt to put John’s new Maori mates in their place and Coleman spins any criticism of this as ‘NOT ACTING IN A NEW ZEALAND MANNER’.
Wow! Jaw dropping.

This government is popular because it isnt Labour. People are responding to Key - and apart from ACC, many of the issues with the current cabinets performance are beltway issues.
MMP: yes I know we were never promised a referendum (we got a stacked select committee review instead), but I am supportive of the referendum. National campaigned on it, won, and delivered. Many on the left are obviously worried that the Green influence may diminish under a SM or a STV, but it is only right that after 5 elections we take stock of the system.
Watch all the dumb muppets say "oh this means you support a return to FPP - no it doesnt
