No mercy

Insult Pacific peoples of Aotearoa at your peril. Expect flashmob protests at your outlets. Prepare to lose a lot of customers who don't agree with your racist insults, "ironic" or otherwise.

I ignored the news when it was first reported because the cock-wipes who have run Hell pizza into the ground, especially in the marketing department, are only after cheap publicity. But now there is a great opportunity to make an example of them and give them negative publicity and real world consequences.

They will be punished for running racist advertising and the few thousand they forked out for billboards will end up costing them many-fold more in the damage about to be done to their struggling, shitty brand. Here's my email to the boss:
I sent that off yesterday and it's 1:30pm and I haven't been contacted. No mitigation. Which goes with the sides of:

No special promotions:
No media contact:
And no repentance either:
Stay tuned tomorrow for further developments. Rally against Racism facebook page has the details and how you can participate.

So the usual 1/2 Doz of professional protesters are going to make a bit of noise, I doubt this will concern Hell too much. Of course their ads were cheap publicity, but this is even cheaper for them, no publicity is bad publicity.

Honestly, can you think of the last time that a joke like the billboard in question would have been 'acceptable'? The 1950s?

We have some serious cultural regression going on. Some sort of twisted payback, in fact. 'Little Man' New Zealand is so disenfranchised that he is willing to part with 50-100 years of social progress in order to drag the rest down to the same level.

"Fuck you Buddy" is the new national religion.

There hasn't been a reply because the boss is obviously embarassed for you. You need a cup of 'get the fuck over yourself.'

In the 1950's this probably wouldn't have been a joke. Now.....
it is.

I've had to delete the racist comments.

The point is that racist advertising will be punished. If it is not it will proliferate as will the racism it promotes. The only effective means of punishment is to damage the offending company's revenue and increase their costs. This can be done in this case.
