Mt Albert - Shearer gang versus the frottage à blog
Shearer's impressive CV is backed by a campaign team of eager jüngen keen on a victory after the catastrophic mauling last November.
The question is since Labour have picked the right candidate - should National? I have heard not a peep from Melissa Lee, whereas Ravi is everywhere. Since Shearer is likely to win handsomely what impact would that have on the fortunes of National's dynamic Asian candidate? Would she appreciate the thrashing. He's choosing the Waterview tunnel option, Nactional's uber city dictatorship and public transport as issues. He will kill on those issues - any lefty would... but not Russel Norman.Norman. Dr Norman. The exciting voice of the Green consciousness... Dr Norman - formerly of Canberra. Not seeing it.
Despite the frottage à blog between the National party web spinners Whaleoil and Kiwiblog, Russel Norman will not get to 15% and he will not sabotage a Labour victory and allow the National candidate through. Try as they might. These guys are so mercenary that if Musuku wins selection they will be telling National voters to vote Green so that Norman does win and so guarantees a split left vote at the next election and will deliver the seat to the blue rosette in 2011.
Act is sticking up their staccato ticker tape speaking ATM, John Boscawen. I can't see him gaining cut-through on any issues that either of the big parties will choose. Boscawen will end up owning core Act policies that appeal to 6-8% of the population most likely. An as an exercise to energise each party's grassroots in Auckland, Act will be happy with any sort of showing above 5%. The Greens will be pushing for Norman to get more than the 11% party vote in the electorate in the general election. Labour now expect to win. National... well there's two options before the selection in less than 24 hours: if they choose Lee they are fighting to win - not to come second. But if Ravi prevails they will have to switch their strategy; and the blogmeisters aforementioned have already positioned themselves to do that by finding excuses to support Norman.
