nz blogosphere - stats time

nz blogosphere stats are now being taken for the January survey.

If you could be so kind. Bloggers who disclose their stats in such a timely and fulsome fashion are a delight. You can send the data in a screenshot image to me at editor (at) tumeke.org if you prefer. Thanks.

Some new blogs currently on the watch list to look out for as they debut in the January survey:

Kiwipolitico : www.kiwipolitico.com
01/2009+ "Environmentalist, centre-left/left-of-centre, public policy and the political process."
Jafapete : Left - ? : Auckland
Anita : Left - ? : Wellington
Pablo : Left - ? : Overseas
Roger Nome : Left - ? : NZ
- Jafapete is familiar to many bloggers (he has abandoned his old blog) and this multi-author blog has been pumping out solid left wing material since it's shrewd (stats-wise) start right at the beginning of the year. There is a resurgence from the left since they lost the election, this blog is part of that new energy. I expect them to start relatively high up on the list as they have had excellent pick-up on the blog rolls and solid traffic and comment volume from inception.

Dread Times : www.rasnandor.blogspot.com
01/2009+ "Ras Nandor Tanczos reports from Aotearoa / New Zealand/ex-Green MP"
Nandor Tanczos : Left - Green : Waikato
- Nandor I believe also still posts on frogblog. This is his personal site.

Whenua Fenua Enua Vanua : www.uriohau.blogspot.com
03/2007+ "Revolutionary anti-colonialism & anti-capitalism in the Pacific"
Ana : Left - ? : Australia
- Originally excluded because it did not have enough NZ content, this has now changed and will be on the list. There is almost zero commentary in the blogosphere from a Maori perspective - ironically it has to come from Australia.

Alf Grumble : www.alfgrumblemp.wordpress.com
12/2008+ "Long-serving and much-admired Member for Eketahuna North"
Alf Grumble : Right - ? : NZ
- Another one of a proliferation of bloggers writing in the third person. Lame. Tumeke finds this most annoying and symptomatic - Tumeke suspects - of the female character.

The Tailor of Panama Street : www.barneymcgrew.wordpress.com
12/2008+ "A New Zealand blog about international affairs"
h807103480 : Other - ? : NZ
- Serious. Nothing I've read so far is overtly partisan so maybe an academic, student or ex-official.

Am I missing the irony here? Just the only blogs I know which use the 3rd person are written by male characters.

I concur hp. Assumedly this is part of Tim's long-standing project to get women like us to bite.

Thanks for the linky love Tim, glad you are finding it useful.
