Polish cultural high point for Friday
Someone suggested I was related to Patrick Swayze. Which made me think about dancing. Which made me think about the man on the right.

thank heavens for those subtitles, otherwise i'd have had NO idea what they were on about
Dziekuje, Poland on Air!
The Polish United Workers Party loves Polish music.
Czech with Polish subtitles?
Anyway, it's a song about Joseph the swamp monster. The protagonist drives his Skoda to Orava (in Solvenia), but he's in a hurry so has to pass through Morova, where Joseph the swamp monster lives. The chorus is about Joseph the swamp monster, who creeps close to the villages, had sharp teeth, and bites and strangles people from Prague. The protagonist drives through Vivewice (a Morovan village) and the drunk mayor offers his daughter and one half of the PGRu (an agrarian cooperative? ... only in Czechoslovakia!) to anyone who can defeat Jospeh. The protagonist asks for a plane and some manure (the onlt way to kill the monster), which he drops on the monster.
Love the cut to the close up on the "goblet player"!
I enjoyed that, thank you!
