More Proof of Fag Prison Hotels

Can you believe this? Those fags in prison NOW get medication – can you believe that? Where is the medication for the Victims? Why are we even spending money on medication for these scum? Shouldn’t we just kill them and sell their organs on the black market - it worked in getting China the Olympics! My membership card with my free noose has just arrived from the Sensible Sentencing Trust so I’m off to help National MP Jackie Blue stop these scum from getting any medication at all!

One in three prisoners is taking prescription drugs, costing taxpayers nearly $1.3 million a year.

The cost of prescriptions for prisoners rose from $344,903 in 2000 to $1,279,379 in 2005-2006, figures supplied to National MP Jackie Blue show.

The percentage of male and female inmates on prescription drugs rose from 18 per cent to 32.

Dr Blue obtained the information through parliamentary questions, but said getting information on the drugs used was impossible.

"Efforts to get information about the type of pharmaceuticals used and the pattern of use over these years has hit a brick wall."

Boooooooomer ...... silly spelling seems to important here, not sure why but I will join in for a while.

Gee don't know about you but I haven't taken script drugs for years - I have been sick but like most people put up with it, going to a doctor is to time consuming, expensive and, by and large, ineffective.

I am very surprised that the stats for men and women are, apparently, the same as I would have expected men to be far worse crybabies and hypochondriacs than women.

Opinion and observation – boredom has something to do with it, turning up 3 times a day for nurses rounds is something to do and gives them attention, a lot of the drugs aren’t taken just collected, cell searches regularly turn up large numbers of pills, a lot of the nurses (and doctors) are walkovers, while crims in some cases are getting younger some units, especially sex offender units, have an aging population.

Non-prescription drugs, Voltarin, Panadol etc. are given out like sweets.

There will be a lot more to it and I would hope a professional enquiry will be implemented.

This epidemic of pill taking is a disaster is most western societies, if people do it on the outside that’s their hard luck and they will rarely have any come-back if it goes wrong.

However I suspect its only a matter of time before the lawyers jump on this bandwagon and take cases against the department for funding the over-prescribing drugs and causing harm to those in their care.

Nice strawman Bomber. The article is all about the wisdom of allowing prisoners to self medicate because Corrections is to cheap to hire more nurses. So what did Bomber the self proclaimed fourth rate journalist write about?

Not about the increased suicide risk of letting inmates self medicate. Strange coming from someone who professes to care about the welfare of inmates.

Not that these decisions are being made without having any real information about what is being prescribed in prison. Who needs facts? They're just cons...

Nothing about the fact that the number of prisoners getting drugs has doubled in just 5 years. Was that rant about the sickness industry just bluster?

Instead we got a load of crap that Jackie Blue is like a Chinese organ harvester. How lame. The reality is that she is a medical doctor and used her position in parliament to ask some questions about a subject she is interested and qualified in.

Why does Bomber feel the need to portray his political opponents like cartoon villains? Insecurity? Inability to face an opposing viewpoint rationally? A childish mind? Suggestions please :)

Anon - lighten up a little, you might enjoy life more - and get a name for crying out loud - posting anonymously is ball-less, and as for your pop-psychology 101 bit, god forbid the day I have to explain humour to the humourless.

PS - As for the issue at hand - and going from my own experience - a lot of prisoners have a lot of mental issues, the increase in part is a lot more prisoners in prison and the higher percentage of prisoners who have mental health issues - that said the point raised about the massive increase in perscription drug use is a good one

Just to explain why I removed the comment above mine - I won't have my name used to post your shitty little comments ok - try and be a little smarter next time - you can repost it, I don't have a problem with that - just don't use my name - I'm pretty laxed about allowing any comment to be posted on this site unmoderated, hell I even put up with snide crap like anon above - but I won't put up with using my name to score your points ok.

I think that's pretty fair - as you were.

And didn't I tell you not to use my name in your bullshit pointscoring? What are you, thick?

Now, post without using my name - what is with this guy, slow or something. Are you on medication in a prison? I got your point about using a name, but you didn't get mine about not using mine - I think your medication dosage is a little high, turn it down and re-post your point.

Haven't seen the evidence so don't know what the problem is but I do know ...... Not guilty your honour.

However the reaction seems rather like angry, lynch mob rage - not much peace and forgiveness on display, funny that. Still here is Bambi’s opportunity to indulge in some compassion, understanding and rehab counseling rather than knee-jerk rage.

Gee, imagine how angry Bambi would be if he was a victim of a real crime.

Ladies and gentlemen.
The deleted posts were not offensive or derogatory, instead they used bombers name, or a variation of bombers name, to make the point that to place "names" on posts is essentially meaningless, one can use any name.

Instead of leaving up these posts, bomber has decided to SUPRESS and CENSOR them.

There is freedom of speech, and then there is bombers version of freedom of speech.

Lets see if you have the intellectual balls to leave these posts up bomber.

It's only right and true if bam-bam says it or if you agree with him.

It's only funny is bam-bam says it or if he thinks it is.

Bam-bam calls other people cowards, don't cowards talk while braver people do - set up a prison education group yet bam-bam.

It's interesting how people project their own behaviours onto others, bam-bam says he hates red-neck violence but justifies his own and tammys. We are told bam-bam and little tammy are smart yet they are unable to express their frustrations without abuse and violence.

Actually bam-bam hates everyone except himself and those who kiss his little botty.

We have be told (lied to ?) that lack of self-esteem is a problem with violent people and other criminals - other research shows it is more likely to be to much self-esteem. Tammy and bam-bam seem to support the 'to much' theory.

They both justify themselves and see no reason to change anything about themselves in there world everyone else should change to suit them. His anger is so easily aroused yet he has no insight into his own violence.

One reason put forward for prison is the deterrent effect, it remains to be seen if tammy finds that to be the case but he doesn’t seem to enjoying it so perhaps next time he has a tantrum he will deal with it differently and that is a good thing surely.

I wonder if reading tammys diaries has deterred bam-bam from taking his anger to the next step, if he really wanted to change the world why not stand for office (if he is half as wonderful as he thinks he is a landslide is assured) where he might be able to achieve something, but again cowards don’t achieve.

I haven’t read Jeff Archers prison diary but from what I heard he also spent a lot of time whining and crying about how cruel his life was – he too forgot he was guilty.

mr anonymous.

So only bomber is allowed to use his real name? Other Martin Bradbury's don't have that right?

What is so wrong with using bombers name to make a point.

Perhaps bomber should get over himself.

I'm not even sure who anonymous is referring to anymore with bam and tammy. I mean it's all very smarmy, but very boring.

Oh and mr 'real' anonymous, I think you're just getting a bit desperate for an arguement now.

Smarmy and Desperate, you make a fetching couple.

anna mouse walks in on a thread where she missed the essential posts, what was said in them, the subtext within them (that made bomber look stupid, which he missed, which was pointed out to him, which is the real reason the posts were removed), but feels informed enough to make a smart arsed comment.

You are only a onesome, but all good onanists are.

Nobody. Definitely the most apt name of a poster here.

Right at the beginning, I read about medications and prisons although I am not sure where "fag" comes into it.
Then after a while I am thrown into the sandpit whereby I am surrounded by hair-pulling, face scratching, name throwing people....
