Low-caste Hindus convert
Thousands of people have been attending mass ceremonies in India at which hundreds of low-caste Hindus (Dalits) converted to Christianity. The events in the central city of Nagpur are part of a protest against the injustices of India's caste system.
I thought this was a very funny story – imagine being a low-caste Hindu confronted with Christianity. “So I’m good for nothing and I have to put up with shit until I die – OR I become Christian, get to go to heaven at the end AND I get to eat pork and steak? Hmmm, and I get Sunday off as well? But I have to go to church on Sunday? What – when? 9AM, oh come on man, no sleep in? But I do get the rest of the afternoon off?

Isn't it ironic that India was one of the most vocal critics of Apartheid...
I prefer atheism. You can eat what you want (including pork 'n steak) & sleep in on sundays.
Doesn't Christianity also forbid eating pork? I remember reading something on this. Surely, one of their Bibles has something on it.

The caste system was a major factor in the growth of Islam in the sub-continent. Many Hindus converted to escape the caste system.
Anomymous it was the first testiment (hence why Jews cant eat pork / hoofed animals) the second testiment effectively says anything goes and overrides the first testiment like it does on alot of things.
So yeah, personally i to still have some religous standing as I believe the bible read as it is meant to has alot of good factors to live your life by, ie do unto other as would do unto your self. People who read it and use it for bigoty and persuction never actually understand what it was about in the first place. Unfortunately this is a large number.
