Obit - kiwiblogblog

Kiwiblogblog was a remarkable experiment. Devoted entirely to attacking another blog, it offered a ready and blistering critique of the nation's number one blogger and turned the fire hose directly onto his tree of shit-flinging troll monkeys.

we’ve enjoyed our foray into the blogosphere. Our simple goal was to challenge David’s perceived impartiality. I believe we did that or at least encouraged others in their (hopefully constructive) criticism. Perhaps, from time to time, it became too personal. For that, I am sorry; David’s not a bad bloke (although some of his commentators may well be).

We would have like to have spread our wings a little more, however the EFA (and our own branding) made this simply too difficult. Also, with blogs like PublicAddress and the Standard, the competition was fierce.

  6. We've had our share of cyber-stalkers. Some are worse than others.

Kiwiblogblog did drill down and have some insightful content rather than just abuse.

  7. Tim, thanks for the commentary. Your characterisation of KBB as experimental is spot-on.

Bryan's gleeful comment above needs some correction however. KBB wasn't focused on promoting Labour (few of our posts directly related to Labour policies), other blogs may well be. The simple goal of KBB was to critique kiwiblog. As I've said elsewhere, we believe we achieved this. We also think other bloggers have pushed on further.

My comment about the EFA related to what we'd thought we'd do next, not what we were doing with KBB.
