There is 'optimism' and then there is John Key

Eight new sections for Nats' cycleway
Eight new sections of Prime Minister John Key's national cycleway have been given the go-ahead, at a cost of $18.85 million, as part of a project the Government hopes will deliver 500 jobs.

The bike lane is a lovely idea, we all LOOOOOVE the bike lane, let’s all do a little dance about how lovely the bike lane is….

…all danced out? Great because John Key claimed this bike track to no where would create 3700 jobs at the Job Summit (don't you love how this news story doesn't even mention the previous promises by Key any longer? Of course if Labour had lied like this it would have been headline news) so now National are 'hopeful' this bit of the track will create 500 jobs, 138 have been created since it was announced, and that's neat, but where the bloody hell are the other 3062 jobs and where the bloody hell is the media holding National to account???

JOHN KEY CLAIMED 3700 JOBS! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO GET?
