It's the devil, not child molesting priests and official cover ups that are the problem

Vatican defends Pope in abuse row
The Vatican has denounced what it called aggressive attempts to drag Pope Benedict XVI into the spreading scandals of pedophile priests in his German homeland. It also insisted that church confidentiality doesn't prevent bishops from reporting abuse to police. The Vatican's campaign to defend the pope's reputation and resolve in combatting clergy abuse of minors followed acknowledgment by the Munich archdiocese that it had transferred a suspected pedophile priest to community work while Benedict was archbishop there. Benedict is also under fire for a 2001 church directive he wrote while a Vatican cardinal, instructing bishops to keep abuse cases confidential. Germany's justice minister has blamed the directive for what she called a "wall of silence" preventing prosecution.

It's not the Pope's fault that he hid child molestation, according to the Vatican's official exorcist, it's the devil fault...

Vatican exorcist: Satan responsible for scandals
The Rev. Gabriele Amorth told La Repubblica newspaper in Rome that church sex abuse scandals in the United States, Ireland, Germany and other countries and the Christmas Eve assault on Pope Benedict XVI by a mentally unstable woman were proof that the Anti-Christ was waging a war against the Holy See, Telegraph correspondent Nick Squires writes:"The Devil resides in the Vatican and you can see the consequences," said Father Amorth, 85, who has been the Holy See's chief exorcist for 25 years.

...ahhhh, it's the devil who is to blame and not child molesting priests and a culture of official cover up. I'm glad we could clear that up, I'd hate for people to think the Catholic Church was actually responsible for all those molested children. I put this type of abuse on par with the enforced radicalization of children in radical Islamic Madrasas, religion really needs a good hard kick in the arse doesn't it?

Sadly it doesn't help that the Pope looks evil Bilbo does it?

Don't hold back Bomber - let your bigotry vent full spleen! Perhaps you could follow up your rant with a crucifixion or 3?

Yeeees, it's the whole catholic church that's responsible for abuse cases; every one of them. And those state schools too - every teacher who abused a kid means we should close the entire state school system down. That'll learn 'em.

I'ld offer a reasoned critique of abuse and the church, but the phrase 'don't caste pearls before swine' keeps coming to mind. I'm sure you agree, and will duly censor this comment lest your tender readers be offended by an alternative view to your bigotry. Then you can go caste pious opinions at the tories, telling them off for repressing the hudled masses. Are you running for pope?

Thank you so much for your enlightening thoughts anon, just a couple of questions however.

1: Why post anonymously? The Church wouldn't want you to hide would they? Shouldn't you be proud and not deny your support of the church? You do know that when you post anonymously a rooster crows three times don't you?

2: Where did I say I wanted to crucify anyone for pointing out what the Vatican's OWN official exorcist blames the child abuse on?

3: I'm curious about your following comment and ask if you could explain it a little further for us all...

Yeeees, it's the whole catholic church that's responsible for abuse cases; every one of them.
I think you'll note my issue was with the policy to hide the abuse and my concerns that they have really been caused by the Devil.

And those state schools too - every teacher who abused a kid means we should close the entire state school system down. That'll learn 'em.
Could you show me someone in the Ministry of Education who actually blamed any state abuse on the Devil?

Please, we would love to all hear your thoughts.

Silly anon, the only comments that don't make moderation are mindless abuse or just outright Troll manipulations of what has been said. I think the readers of Tumeke would LOVE to hear your defense of child abuse within the church and your thoughts that it is really the Devil.

Then you can go caste pious opinions at the tories, telling them off for repressing the hudled masses. Are you running for pope?
Ummmmm, I don't really understand this last point at all. I have never suggested that I would like to run for Pope and am surprised that after reading my post that would be your conclusion.

We would all love to hear more from you Anon.

Amen

Where were their parent and grandparents.

They are still putting their children in harms way.

I'd like to hear anon's defense of child abuse being caused by the devil. Calls of bigotry and hinting at Bomber's leftist politics is merely irrelevant and ad hominem anon. But judging by your "pearls before swine" comment, I have a sneaking suspicion you're not exactly an objective commenter. In my own 'bigoted' opinion, an official policy of keeping child abuse on the low down is sick. As is blaming it on the devil. I mean, come on, it's the 21st century! It isn't about "all Catholics are child abusers", but merely about the Vatican being called to account on a pretty retarded policy combined with supernatural scapegoating. If a state school, to use your example, did exactly the same thing people would be outraged, and rightly so. But if the Vatican does it, then any criticism must be anti-Catholic?? Pretty weird.
