Hmmm, Hone makes reference to the white mofos, which was first brought up by Bunnie in his original email you’ll note, and that Hone dare mention race means he’s the bad guy, but Rodney who has said that he can get any of his crazy right wing ideology through Cabinet is the good guy because he’s been guilted into paying the public back.
ADVICE FOR HONE:
Mate, you can’t ever EVER point out that the white mofos raped the land or ripped Maori off, it’s one of those quiet delusions we need to live by, like throwing people into prisons that don’t work. In future don’t defend your misuse of taxpayer funds by falling back on historic facts, that white mofos stole land doesn’t mean you get to go to Paris. What’s worse than your bullshit trip is that you’ve given every talkhate radio listening gimps the pompous self importance to now argue that it’s okay for then to call Maori black motherfuckers. As if you wanted to give them anymore ridiculous self justification.

He's also a racist bigot but he was exercising his freedom of opinion; well all I can say is if that defence is accepted we might as well disband the office of Race Relations Commissioner, as clearly ANYONE is expressing their own freedom of opinion when making racist utterances. How are we expected to take any future statement from them seriously when such a twee argument is put forward in all seriousness. Abhorrence of racism just ain't what it used to be. Jr is right, it is a joke how this isn't about his trip to Paris. His excuse was just a farce, "I've been to paradise, but I've never been to me" is not a defense for a sight seeing trip to Paris.
The racism is a different issue, seeing as it was Bunnie who used the word white mofos in the original email, Hone was simply making reference to the asaid beige MILFs rather than than initiating the racial slur. A technicality sure, but one that stands when you consider that Minister John Carter once famously rang John Banks live on air and pretended to be 'Hone da maaaari'. I think the high horse some from National are climbing onto is a little too high.
Oh and as for Rodders, come on COME ON! Rightfully pointing out that Hone's trip is the main issue and the bugger should pay it back is one thing, defending Rodney is totally another. The Hawaii trip? Paying it back quietly? Lying about the amount when asked? COME ON JR!
Hey hey, come on I'm not defending Rodders at all, and at no point did I try to??? My view is covered by the aforementioned "hypocritical jerk-off." I think brining Hide into it is an irrelevancy, much like this new racism, angle which is again missing the original (far more serious)point. Again, considering Hide's poor behaviour the very least he could do was apologise and pay back those costs, and agree to rectify his behaviour in future.
I would expect as a start, at the very least, Hone would do the same.
As far as addressing the original problem, an MP shirks his responsibilty whilst overseas representing us, for his own personal gain...that's a very serious charge and one that speaks volumes about the man i'm afraid. If he was a paid employee he would be in VERY hot water and could be pushed.
All comes down to what sort of standards we expect our MPs to live up to...remarkable how so many people seem willing to sweep that away whilst trying to score political points.
On the racism though I do find the view of Joris de Bres stunning, how are supposed to take future statements seriously?? Anyone can now trot out that argument with seeming immunity?

the fact hone decided to choose his wife over work is admirable and i believe he paid for that part of the jaunt himself.
